Kokuyo Kizuki no Ki Wooden Blocks – HOUSE
These building blocks are anything but average. The idea behind Kizuki no Ki is a set of building blocks that helps children to learn and develop fine motor skills, as well as eye and hand coordination, through visually ‘feeling’ the size and weight of the blocks.
You will notice that some of the blocks are darker and others are lighter. That is not just aesthetics. The darker the block the heavier it is. Children will intuitively learn where a cube lies in a sequence of 1 to 5 (as the blocks come in 5 gradients) based on its colour and by extension, its weight. There are 21 blocks in total (12 types) presented in a beautiful wooden case.
HOUSE is designed to build on the possibilities offered by PIXEL (also available here at TJS) and the two sets can be used in conjunction for increasingly complex structures and shapes, as illustrated in the product images.Â
